I am a tutor who is fluent in Japanese and passionate about the language. I'm available to work with anyone who wants to improve their Japanese reading, writing, or speaking skills, and with anyone who wants to learn more about Japanese culture! I received my degree in International Studies from the University of North Texas, where I graduated magna cum laude. I continued with my education at Columbia University where I earned my master's in Japanese Pedagogy. I hope to one day work as a Japanese professor. I was born in Japan and I am fluent in Japanese. I have been living in the U.S. for over twenty years now, and I love to help others learn my native language. I've been teaching Japanese for nearly two decades, and I've had an excellent student success rate. I can work with students of all ages and any skill level on their Japanese language skills. I am truly passionate about the language and Japanese culture. Whether someone needs to learn the language for a proficiency test or they're just interested in broadening their horizons, I can help! When I'm not teaching I enjoy playing the piano, making origami, knitting, and reading good books.
